Creating a wireless network with Linux host and XP laptop?

I have a PC running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, and a Laptop running Windows XP. I want to create a wireless network with the Ubuntu PC as the host. I want to be able to share files wirelessly and be able to print over the network (to the printer connected to the Ubuntu PC). Can anyone help me?

Step 1 – get a wireless router. The router will assign IP addresses to the PC and the Laptop.
Step 2 – Install SAMBA on the Linux PC. SAMBA will let you network Windows and Linux. Samba also allows you to connect Windows machines to printers on your Linux machine, allowing the Linux machine to act as a print server.
Step 3 – This is where you earn your pay. Configure SAMBA. Depending on what tools are installed in Unbuntu (I use openSuse so I’m not sure) this can be a snap to a fair amount of work. Check out the Unbuntu and SAMBA forums
Step 4 – Use the network
