Can I design in Iweb and host somewhere else with out mobileme?
I would like to build a website but don’t wan’t to use Mobile me.

Yes, if you have iWeb 09 you can upload your website to any host through built in FTP client.
If you have an earlier version of iWeb just use the “Export to Folder” option, and then upload that folder to your host with a 3rd party FTP client like Cyberduck http://cyberduck.ch/ This way you can upload your iWeb website to any host.
