Are you required to use the given templates by yahoo when using Yahoo’s Web Hosting Service?
If you aren’t required, can you use FTP to make your own website just like every other host?

No, I don’t own a website under Yahoo and I’m not looking to make one with Yahoo or any other company so please dont advertise.
It looks like you can use FTP to upload your own content. You’re not tied to Yahoo’s templates at all. Check out this page:
